MAGNA CONSTRUCTION is the axis of our projects and businesses. With the opening of our construction company in 2005 and the focus on building disruptive projects, we started our journey with dozens of customized residential projects, passing to highly complex constructions of French Timber Framing & Scribing, which is to build in wood without a single nail. In these processes, because it is exact, we entered the BIM world in 2006, being the first Latin company in the area of the capital of Virginia to implement its use. In this growth process, we go through renovation projects of historical monuments, where we model in 3D, among them the third oldest court in the USA, maintaining the construction techniques with which it was built in the eighteenth century. With our federal experience, we achieved the highest level builder's license in the Washington, DC, area. In 2010, Our department of engineering and architecture led us to develop designs for hybrid construction processes, developing the Malazi project for the reconstruction of Haiti, designing housing complexes with maritime containers, coming to be considered, in 2010, among the 2000 most sustainable projects worldwide by the Holcim Foundation. With our alliance with SDC, the most relevant sustainable consultant for the US government, our projects entered the world of sustainability, creating a unique combination of BIM and Green designs, which led us to participate actively in the green building code. From the United States. With this experience, we committed ourselves to the design world of the envelope system, which guarantees the hermeticity of houses for energy efficiency, creating the first models in insulation drawings in the American residential market and reaching the not-insignificant figure of 900 projects designed in Texas. In 2016, with our arrival to the LEAN construction world, we became the first Latin construction company certified in Lean construction in the United States. Our firm Civil Control USA started project monitoring through the BIM MODEL and the support of 360-degree cameras, lasers, and drones. This visibility allows us to assume the presidency of the Texas Hispanic Construction Association, since 2017, for ten years. In 2019 with Lone Star College, the largest government College in the USA, we founded the construction Bootcamp in Spanish, considered the most visited in the USA. With the arrival of the technological world at maximum value, with our firm IT4 construction, the commitment to close the technological GAP of Hispanic contractors in the USA is born, holding the first summit with the participation of more than 7 thousand contractors.
Already in 2021, and after analyzing the changes in the American building codes, we launched ourselves in the positioning of the construction of anti-hurricane residential structures, with the largest residential structure of this kind sold and built so far in the state of Texas. Simultaneously, our new efforts were directed at the micro-living conception.
This 2022 culminates with our tiny housing proposals, as our institutional response, to the most significant global trend in construction, which is the use of space. Our houflex company can reduce the owner's use of his housing area with only half of the building one.
Our future lies in developing women in construction, which is why we created WOPCO, the first women-only construction company in the USA, and the construction of social housing solutions with 3D printers, in our Houses for a reason initiative. We continue to train our Hispanic community by bringing EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, PLUBISHING the first book in Spanish for the CAST certification in math for construction.
